Phonetic Relay doesn't collect, store, or transmit anything about you. There's no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no server processing your input.

What happens when you type

The text you type is converted to its NATO phonetic spelling entirely in your browser, on your device. It's never sent anywhere.

The "Speak it" button

Reading the result aloud uses your browser's built-in text-to-speech engine (the Web Speech API), which runs on your device or through your operating system's own speech service — the same one used by other apps and websites you already use. Phonetic Relay itself doesn't record, store, or receive any audio.

Offline / installed use

If you install Phonetic Relay to your home screen, a small set of app files (the page itself, its icons) are cached on your device so it still opens without a connection. That cache stays on your device — it isn't uploaded anywhere.
